The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is a regional art centre and national cultural attraction dedicated to the innovative spirit of landscape artist and Canadian icon, Tom Thomson. The Gallery celebrates excellence in the visual arts with a top-notch and revolving program of contemporary and historical exhibitions, lectures, forums, films, concerts and workshops. Located in beautiful downtown Owen Sound, just steps from the Sydenham River, the Gallery houses a nationally significant collection of Thomson works and artifacts, paying homage to this maverick who fused a passion for the wilderness with a new and experimental style of painting. Featuring exhibitions from locally, nationally and internationally renowned artists, the Tom Thomson Art Gallery is the largest public gallery in this region of Ontario and the area’s main disseminator of contemporary art.
