(Saturday August 22, 2009) Downtown Owen Sound was filled with the sights and sounds of music, performance and art today as Streets Alive! Owen Sound’s Busker Extravaganza got rolling.

The event kicked off last night with a terrific preview performance under the deck at the Farmers Market and jumped into high gear as buskers from all genres took to the streets this morning.  The festival culminated in an around-the-campfire style open jam session at the Farmers Market tonight.   (check out the photo gallery)

We were happy to see this great event taking place in the Downtown core and thank the organizers for their hard work and dedication.

Congratulations to the City of Owen Sound and the Streets Alive Organizing Committee for a great event!
