Help us turn Downtown Owen Sound into a Halloween attraction this year and you might win $100 in Downtown Owen Sound Gift Certificates !

Let’s have some fun this October. It has been a while since we all got together and participated in a themed window display contest … We hope this is about to change.

The Downtown Owen Sound Halloween Store Window Decorating Challenge officially runs from October 24th to October 31st, 2009, but don’t let that stop you from getting into the spirit sooner. We’d love to see Downtown Owen Sound windows decorated with this seasonal theme all month long.

Judging will take place October 30, 2009 and the $100 winner will be announced Halloween Day – October 31, 2009.

To be eligible you must register your store before October 16th, 2009 by calling the OSDIA at 519-376-9225 to confirm your participation and receive your window registration number.

We are going to keep this simple, but nevertheless need a few brief qualifying rules.

• Your store window must be fully decorated with a Halloween theme from October 24th to 31st 2009 (sooner is good too).
• Your shop must be located in the Downtown Improvement Area. (north side of 7th Street East to south side of 11th Street East & Sydenham River to west side of 4th Avenue West).
• Your shop window must clearly display the “Halloween Store Window Decorating Challenge Registration Card”. These numbered registration cards will be distributed to registered participants during the week of October 19, 2009.
• One prize of $100 in Downtown Owen Sound Gift Certificates will be given as the “judges choice” award.
