Every once in a while you come across a store that is really  cool—this is it!

Most of you will recognize these faces!  All three women–Karen Juniper and Peggy Johnstone–worked at a very popular and prominent home décor store in downtown Owen Sound for many years.  All are experienced and talented retailers, merchandisers, and buyers so the natural progression for them was to move on from their previous employment and open up their own business!  Their first venture was a seasonal store last summer in Sauble Beach and the public LOVED it!  Look for it at the same location this summer as well.  This led to a beautiful kiosk at the mall over Christmas and now to their permanent location on 9th Street across from the Post Office.  The store is small but beautiful–ethnic-based and globally inspired—all based on colour, texture, and pattern—no boring beige here–with as many Fair Trade products as possible.  These imaginative women are also creating their own line of candles and textiles.

Indigo Breeze is definitely the “wow” factor!  Entering into the store is like entering into other parts of the world—Morocco, India, the Caribbean, Africa, the Far East and a little bit of the Mediterranean—all mixed together!  Become entranced with the ethnic music playing while you shop and you will be fascinated with the creatively displayed melange of products.  These gals really know what they are doing—offering surprising customer service
and a totally unique shopping experience.  Their energy and enthusiasm is infectious!
Truly, there is no other store like it.
